About the SFDL

A Focus on Communication:

Directed by Dr. Jordan Green at the MGH Institute of Health Professions, the Speech and Feeding Disorders Laboratory (SFDL) is dedicated to developing, understanding, and improving speech, feeding, and neurologic impairments that affect communication and swallowing.

Areas of research include:
- Assessing and Restoring Lip Motor Function Following Facial Transplantation
- Speech Motor Impairments - Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)
- Using Computers to Assist Persons with Speech Impairments: A "Virtual Vocal Tract"
